Check-out and check-in workflow

1. Tool is selected

Technician takes the required tool from cabinet or storage.

2. RFID kiosk reads

The kiosk antenna reads EPC/serial data and filters duplicate reads.

3. User is verified

The technician identifies with badge, MIFARE card or configured login method.

4. Assignment is confirmed

The system links tool, user, job context and time, then creates the check-out record.

5. Return closes the loop

Returned tools are matched with open records and integration status is updated.

Frequently asked questions

Can a technician return the tool to any shelf?

Yes, if the operation is modeled by RFID identity instead of fixed shelf dependency. Optional shelf or zone rules can still be added.

Can handheld readers be used as well as kiosk points?

Yes. Handhelds can support item search, full/partial counts and field validation scenarios.

What happens during network outage?

Offline mode keeps records locally and synchronizes them with conflict checks after connectivity is restored.
